Heirs’ Property: Elevating the Story
The project Heirs’ Property: Elevating the Story was produced in collaboration between the Housing Assistance Council and Wells Fargo. The project aims to highlight the complex, nuanced, and diverse experiences of heirs’ property owners and the organizations that support them. A series of videos spotlight the voices of community members, leaders, and practitioners, offering a platform for their stories to be shared directly with a wide range of audiences.
This video focuses on heirs’ property in Hale County, AL. Produced in partnership with Auburn University’s Rural Studio, it provides an overview of heirs’ property in rural west Alabama, and how students are learning about collective landownership as part of a design-build architecture program.
